One of them is an Independent. Quite telling how he omits that point.
November 11, 2025 at 8:54 AM
We also deserve better than the entire GOP caucus.
November 11, 2025 at 8:53 AM
In other countries, it is a legal requirement. In our country, you can vote third party and if more so, perhaps it will change. But if folks don’t vote, they can sit down and shut up.
November 10, 2025 at 10:11 PM
The more people who vote, the better. But let’s encourage apathy and nothing will change, including how both parties act.
November 10, 2025 at 7:03 PM
Don’t forget to vote out Independent Angus King. He shouldn’t get a pass either.
November 10, 2025 at 3:54 PM
King is an Independent who caucuses with the Democrats, so technically not a Democrat. As a media outlet, saying “The 8 Senators from the Democratic Caucus caved…” is more accurate. Please do better. Independent voters think their people don’t cave, but they do.
November 10, 2025 at 3:51 PM
So why aren’t we also holding them more accountable?
November 10, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Maybe this was strategic. Until it all plays out, we all need to take a beat. Call the Senators who voted no, including g the GOP ones. Let’s not forget Congress is made up from folks from both parties. Why isn’t there more heat in the GOP too?
November 10, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Remember when the GOP and Trump said they have nothing to do with Project 2025 and 90 million voters opted to NOT vote in 2024?
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 PM
What if there is another strategy at play? This forces the House to open. The legislative branch is not just the Senate.
November 10, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Keep in mind Angus King is an independent and he voted yes too. Independent candidates don’t always do what we want either.
November 10, 2025 at 3:34 PM
Angus King is a registered Independent and he folded.
November 10, 2025 at 3:31 PM
It’s pretty clear.
November 10, 2025 at 3:28 PM
90 million people didn’t vote. That’s part of the problem.
November 10, 2025 at 3:17 PM
What if it was orchestrated to force the House of Representatives to open?
November 10, 2025 at 3:15 PM
Maybe we shouldn’t be so quick to buy the “Dems” caves. This could be tactical—forcing the GOP to show its hand and reopen the House.

Power moves don’t always shout. Sometimes, they wait. 🟦♟️
November 10, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Swearing in Grijalva gives Dems the 218th vote for Epstein-file transparency and shrinks Johnson’s control.

That’s why he’s delaying. That’s why this fight matters. 🏛️📂
November 10, 2025 at 3:12 PM
What if the 8 Dem votes on the CR weren’t betrayal—but bait?

Senate moves → House must reopen → Johnson has to seat Adelita Grijalva → Epstein-files vote unlocked.

Looks less like surrender, more like setup. 🟦♟️
November 10, 2025 at 3:12 PM
I’d like someone to focus on the 90 million Americans who didn’t vote in 2024 and get them registered.
November 10, 2025 at 2:55 PM
FFS. One of them was an independent like you, @sanders.senate.gov.
November 10, 2025 at 2:38 PM
My Senators continue to vote no. New Yorkers are the only ones who can get Schumer to listen. I’ve tried to call other Senators and they don’t care if you aren’t one of their voters.
