Such a heartbreaking experience for you. Sometimes they're only stunned, & we can hold them & comfort until ready to fly merrily off. Sometimes, sadly its their time to leave, hopefully instantly & unexpectedly.

It was huge, too big! Its now at least 4 biggish ones (this is one of mine) Hopefully 2 biggish ones still live with a neighbour & many self seeded leaves that become plants, which I give away with similar sentiments to Mum&Dads adult grandchildren when they embark upon new adventures, homes etc.
