Anybody who has spent time along the coast of BC knows just how much it means to both Indigenous and non indigenous British Columbians. I remember the Exxon Valdez. The winter storms along the coast are epic.

The point is, we knew when tariffs were first imposed that this wouldn’t be easy. Some grocery chains take advantage and they should be held to account. Maybe because I’ve done this before, I can adapt more easily, however it can be done - and I’ll probably be healthier for it! Bye bye snack aisle.

I’ve started doing again what I did years ago as a single mom with 2 kids. I shop the flyers (online). Many areas have more than 1 store, but if not shop sales and also check in store sales. If broccoli was $$, we had carrots and cucumbers that week. This takes time but not as long as you’d think.
