🎃 Happy #Halloween everyone! This year's Halloween "costume" for my cat is a Manticore (though even with the mane, she looks like a Manticore kitten. )

It's a ball of light gray fur with two huge blue glassy eyes. History time!: This is a Dreeble, an electronic toy from the late 80's. I had one almost exactly like this one. they were not soft, but had a chunk of electronics inside them and a sensor on the back that would make the thing make a purring noise if you touched it lightly, and an electronic squeal if you squeezed it. Eventually the batteries would wear out and you'd have to get inside to change them. This meant taking off the pelt with the eyes still attached as it was basically a sheet of fake fur wrapped around the electronics.

Hmmm.... I wonder if it could be modded to play that.
A Steel Battalion controller: it has three panels in the middle, the first has a throttle lever and a joystick, the middle has a dial and a bunch of readouts and something in the upper left corner I can't figure out but looks like a 3 segmented disk, and the right panel has another joystick, buttons, and what looks like an emergency eject switch. There is also an additional piece to the set - a plastic block with three foot pedals on it. All of it is only slight less complicated than an airplane cockpit.

My gaming group exchanged presents yesterday, This was what I gave all of them - "Kraft Dice" The (non-edible) cheese dice I found on Amazon and the label is something I threw together, printed on glossy cardstock, and stapled to the bags. They were a huge hit.

The bag has a label on top that looks a bit like the Kraft Mac & Cheese box, only it's labeled "KRAFT Dice Cheese" and has a spoon filled with cheese colored dice. This image is a bit more washed out but you can see the label better.
