To force myself to practise guitar more, I try to play whenever I am in VR, as I'm typically just sitting around talking to friends anyhow. I didn't realize just how hard it would be on the equipment though. My Index controller is badly pitted and scuffed, and guitar finish is cracking and dented.

Although I've really been enjoying my Blackstar HT20 Studio, there is something that just draws me to a Vox amp. Dunno if it's the aesthetic or the sound, there is just something a lil extra about them. Maybe one day I'll get one, but for now I have #Blender3d and #SubstancePainter

My first "failure" of a guitar pedal. I really wanted to like this pedal, it seemed like exactly what I wanted to layer into my sound, but I think this used one is a dud. Half the modes are silent, and the others are so boomy and random that I hate it. Thankfully there is a return policy.

Last night sitting in VR, with friends and my SO, I just started grabbing random guitar tabs and strumming through them while on open mic. It was really nice, and that feeling of just being able to pick up a (very easy) song to play at random was really rewarding. I really enjoyed/needed last night.

I don't have a reason for it, but I love strange or weird tones; unique sounds are just fun I guess. With that in mind I've built out my guitar pedal board in such a way that it can make nursery rhymes sound creepy I guess? I dunno. Was fun finding this sound, now to figure out what to do with it.

The contractors finally came back and removed the screaming industrial air filtering machines from my kitchen. The silence after listening to them for over a week straight is amazing. A handful of hours on now and even with the gallon of chemicals they sprayed, my home smells like mold again... Joy.

Struggling with artistic inspiration, but modelling and learning to play guitars has been cathartic. Up next is my Epiphone Melody Maker E1. It's not a great guitar, but it's a bit of wood with strings so it's fine for class. I like how this model turned out though. Model will be for sale soon.

If my dating history is anything to go by, this metal bracket I found at work off the laser table is about as close to getting the D as I'm likely to find anytime soon.

This was the door to my kitchen. Now it is sealed, leading to a bio-hazard zone and multiple industrial air filters running 24/7. My kitchen flooded a couple weeks ago; this past Friday they tore the cabinets, backsplash down to reveal a ton of black mold. The constant droning is deafening.

Someone approached me to model a #guitar for their boyfriend, so I figured why not. I'm not a huge fan of strats, but I've never played a bullet strat before so maybe they're okay? Anyhow, I'm going to be listing this and others for sale on a few platforms this weekend.

Felt like garbage today, but I still wanted to be at least a lil productive, so I modelled another one of my #guitars, this time a Danelectro 56 U-2 Reissue. I really love this guitar and it's probably the best feeling one I've ever played.

This worked out pretty good. Going from a straight output jack to a recessed strat-like exit is a very nice change.

Okai, so two things: I be making a QoL upgrade to my free guitar - I hate the cable exit location as it sits, so strat exit it is! Also, I was home alone today for a bit so I decided to turn my amp up a lil and holy heck it's so much louder than I had thought. 1/4 volume and it's deafening. Wow.

Welcome to the only holiday tradition/celebration I do: buying a mini pumpkin. First time I find one of these in the store every year I buy one and keep it around for October; it's something I've done since I was 5 or 6.

Somehow I ended up with a free-to-me guitar last night. Had fun spending the morning working on it and tuning it, restringing it. Of special note was that the action was about as bad as was possible, given that my fingers needed a stepladder to reach the strings. Otherwise, not super terrible.
