I hadn't planned to get up for sunrise on the day I shot this as the weather wasn't looking promising but saw promise in the sky.

I opted to photograph sunrise at Big Meadows, a scene that I had never photographed before. There were a few lone trees in the meadow that were at peak.

The one photo I wanted to take in the Netherlands was a windmill at sunrise or sunset. Luckily, I managed to capture this within the first few days of our arrival.

There was one photo I had hoped to get when I visited Cologne: the cathedral backlit by the setting sun. I ended up trying to shoot this photo on the three different evenings and, on our final night, the sky finally lit up.

I spent an enjoyable weekend in Alsace for photography and wine tasting before a work trip to Paris (it's rough being me). I was able to catch this sunset view on the one night.

I was in New York for work last month and managed to sneak out early one day to capture this photo of midtown Manhattan at sunset.

While in California in October, my daughter insisting on visiting the beach. With a free evening, I decided that I could satisfy her and also get some photography in: she got to play in the water and I got to take some pictures.
