Dry erase board spray is so helpful. Most dry erasers just makes the whiteboards dirty. There’s a great deal going on right now.

I have students handwrite more to give them breaks from their Chromebooks. Naturally, they are in need from pencils or replacement lead (so they don’t just throw away a useable mechanical pencil).

Good morning all! My English 10 classes will be starting Of Mice and Men today. As per usual, I will be reading chapter 1 out loud and doing voices (which might surprise some kids). Why do I do voices? Yes, for entertainment, but also because I have read this book over 50 times.

It was a busy day, but I was incredibly productive. I lucked out that a former students helped drive my productivity by bringing some pico and chips he made in culinary class!

As a high school English Language Arts teacher (who also teaches college level writing and college prep writing), I get bombarded with request for Letters of Rec. I got this email today. This definitely was a way to make me remember that I am helping them in some way.

I am not going to meet my reading goal of 65 books, but I started a new book today to hopefully finish before the end of the year to hit 54 books. The Skittles are my helpful motivation. 😆

Merry Christmas Eve! I am taking some time this morning for myself. I turned on all the Christmas lights, grabbed a book a drink, and had premade the croissant casserole last night so that I just had to throw it in the oven.

I made a large amount of a pasta salad on Thursday night and just opened up the fridge to get some, and it is all gone. It’s amazing how quickly food goes with two teenagers and a husband.
I now made avocado salsa (this is just a portion of it). We shall see how long it lasts.
