Not wanting to sound hyperbolic, but it has been life-changing. Autonomy & opportunity that were previously very limited. Given the current ‘debate’ around Motability - as usual *about* disabled people *without* disabled people - it can’t be understated how enabling driving can be. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 for you/him.

Feels wrong to ‘like’ this. Sending solidarity as mum of a young disabled adult with scars from years of shitty journeys by public transport, including taxi cancellations or ‘not being seen’ when hailing. They’ve now got a driving licence, car & independence & their world has thankfully opened up.

I only recently started listening to radio 4 again after many years. I was dumbstruck the day after Charlie Kirk was murdered to hear Webb twice totally unprompted and without substantiated reason to link trans people to the murder and ‘left wing violence’.

BMA Resident Doctors described the SC ruling as ‘biologically nonsensical’ & ‘scientifically illiterate’. Maybe Streeting doesn’t appreciate 50,000 medical professionals undermining his disingenuous crusade to treat trans folk with ‘dignity and respect’ whilst dismantling their healthcare and rights
