Were Epstein alive he would probably be asked to testify against Trump, and he would certainly get contacted, off the record, by news media and politicians. Whether Epstein is a credible witness is of course an issue. But his criminality is irrelevant to the value of his eyewitness testimony.

How very interesting to see and read about Cortem. Loos stunning. (Only a bit off-topic, I recently watched Joseph Losey's Eva and if you have never seen it then you mind find it interesting too.)

Obviously I'm enjoying your visit to Firenze.

maybe someday when you are in a vintage shop you will spy a little terracotta butter crock with a lid that will be perfect to use as a private stash for sandwich making. I wonder too if getting whipped butter would solve both problems -- less fat for your parents and easier spread for you.

I was suspended from Twitter for suggesting that all the attendees of a human rights dinner throw their cutlery at Anthony Blinken when he rose to speak. I was told my account wouldn't be restored until I deleted the tweet. So, here I am.

If you are not an impulse sandwich maker you can leave butter out of the fridge for as much as 48 hours (actually even longer) with no risk to your health or the taste. When I was growing up my grandmother never refrigerated her butter and she lived to be close to 100.
