I look at my daughter and instantly well up. The amount of real rage and hate and anger I feel if she lost her life due to a shooting while at school… I cannot fathom the parents of so so many other precious kids whose lives were actually cut short. To something we could fucking change.

Despite my crabby Sunday evening mood, it’s been a really good and productive weekend. Financial planning, laundry, pool party, celebrating my dad, lounging, cleaning. I’m ready for a quiet end to the weekend.

It’s been a really stressful return from vacation. Work is insanely busy, challenging myself to do better and more things for growth. Balancing that plus home life and motherhood, it’s all rewarding. But sometimes it can all catch up to you. So thankful for my husband for keeping me grounded.

Idk what it is but missing the summers id go to Minnesota and stay with my grandparents. Two weeks or some and just being with them and family. There really is nothing like those family core memories

Fun fact, the 4 lbs I gained while on vacation was really just tequila. Back down and even one more. Just need to keep the pace and sprinkle in the strength training and I’m a whole new person!

We go on vacation tomorrow, to celebrate our dear friends at an adults only resort. I am really looking forward to it but I am also ALREADY missing my baby girl. Mom life is funny. I want to be a person outside of being a mom, but I also am a mom. And my daughter is my world. Mommy feelings!!!!

I literally hate it here so much
I burned the eff out of my hand getting a pan handle that had been in the oven, I was trying to keep my toddler from grabbing it bc she’s v interested in everything when I cook. Toddler saved. Hand hurts. Very worth the pain
