A new #reading experience for me this week. I have been really interested in stoicism in how we get through difficult times so decided to try some source material. Not all of it is respectful of emotional experience but there is lot here in terms of duty, practical intelligence and community. 📚💙

The @cosla.gov.uk delegation to Orkney Islands Council received a very warm welcome this week. Great discussion with members and officers. On a personal level, 24hrs was simply not enough for me in such a lovely place and I hope to be back soon @morayshona.bsky.social @orkneycouncil.bsky.social

Had the opportunity to be part of a roundtable with UK Government earlier this week. Lots to share in terms of the incredible work being led by @COSLA Scottish Councils and potential opportunities to better serve our communities together.
