I like to say always open first chapter. I got into the game in Floodborn and haven’t been able to open much First Chapter so when I can, I rip 😂😂😂

Our LGS is small and is trying to foster all games (Pokemon, Lorcana, flesh and blood, magic) so they are trying to keep everyone on separate days to give more players space. Next year they are moving to a larger store and maybe then we can have an “open play” day

Like for example, last week was a starter deck night; everyone had to play with a starter deck from azurite sea. This week will be constructed and next week is deck swap. You bring your deck and swap it with your opponent match one and then switch back match two

2/2 league is now every week, one week is competitive constructed and the following week is a theme/fun night. Both nights are run on melee so they are regular best of 2 format, melee chooses the opponents. We currently do not have a “open play” night, as players can just show up anytime to play

Last set, our league was biweekly and it was constructed only. Which was basically competitive constructed because all the competitive players brought their meta decks to practice. After much discussion, we realized that a format like that was unwelcoming to new players and social players so our 1/2

2/2 with my friends because I knew I was unwelcome at the LGS near me. And coming into Lorcana, I never want to be the reason any person ever feels how I did. That’s not what this game is about 🥹

This is my first TCG, I played a Star Wars game that was a card game but I don’t think it was a trading card game because it had dice and that community was very unwelcoming of me. I played only at home 1/2

Thank you 😅 we are really trying to foster to both sides, because we have competitive players who want to go to DLCs and win Mickeys and so on but also people who want to just have fun! And after last set, we saw that having league be competitive constructed every week was not fostering social play.

This is perfect! I will need to remember that. I just don’t want to embarrass or offend someone and then they never come back :(
