Rainforests wouldn't exist without the people who own and manage it. And a world without the rainforest would be inhabitable for all of us.

Bringing financial security to people at the frontline of deforestation to resist those forces who exploit the rainforest should be a no brainer. Thanks for sharing @scottsantens.com
A UBI-like program in Indonesia reduced deforestation by 30%. A new 2-yr pilot will evaluate how rainforests can be saved by UBI by directly reducing Indigenous people's poverty. Early result: "Trees are no longer being cut down; people are preserving the trees."
