Already a group that splintered off of Scouting America due to the policy of allowing LGBT Scouts called Trail Life, and those dopes align with that goal.

Where the heck is non-phonics focused reading education happening? Science of reading has been *the* early reading approach throughout the country for years now, and that's wholly built around the cogsci affirmation of phonics/PA-based approaches. Every major ELA program is built around it!

That dude can get right out with that nonsense. Look how states/districts corrupted the use of Marzano--he was recommending research-based practices, but states/districts took those practices and made them mandatory evaluatory metrics used against teachers. This is the same thing but measures worse.

From camping, I'd always preferred a simpler pocketknife. But got a Leatherman a couple years ago, and it's far superior for everyday carry. Pliers, built-in hammer, and screwdrivers get a ton of use, especially with kids.
