Also, "get rid of tracking in public schools" in practice means getting rid of tracks that automatically funnel all the rich kids into the best opportunities! Feels like economic populism to me!
October 29, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Wait, why is subsidizing people to buy cars not economic populism?
October 29, 2025 at 8:35 PM
That... actually sounds delicious?! 😋

Seriously! As a 54 year old woman, I am either invisible or they want me to mother them 🙄

And he's apparently demanding a $230 million payment of taxpayer money to himself, personally. If you can't rally energy around that level of corruption, I mean 😒

Yeah, it's like they hold their hands out in front of them, palms up, and raise and lower them one at a time, but quickly. Maybe like a super quick "hot potato" type motion? If you know a middle schooler ask them to say 6-7 and see if they do the hands. 😅

Did they do the hand gesture thing? My three kids all did it in unison, trying to explain it, and I couldn't stop laughing

Thank youuuuuuu! 💖🤗✨💪

We're all well aware that we're "stuck with him for awhile" - the question is what the Democrats can do *as the minority/opposition party* - Cait suggests, and I think most of us agree, that they have a professional obligation to lead and to develop more effective strategies, even though it's hard.

Good job, you!!! Both for doing the things and for trying to remind yourself to remember them! 🤗

Ok well, I suspect we are largely in agreement but we're talking past each other now. No need to spend more time on this convo. In all seriousness, good luck with your efforts!

So to be specific, I think it's good for everyone to shout from the rooftops not only that the purported terrorism designation is extreme, is offensive, is fascism, etc., but also that it's illegal, or unconnected to any law. So the jury pool goes into every case with a predisposition to acquit
September 18, 2025 at 7:23 PM
Juries finding defendants charged in connection with an Antifa terror designation not guilty. Yes. Yes.

I just think this needs to be fought in courtrooms AND on the streets. Thanks for responding, and have a good day
September 18, 2025 at 4:39 PM
Ok fair, jury nullification may not be the right phrase. But when they bring criminal cases based on this unlawful designation, I would like the jury pool to have already heard that it's unlawful, even before the case starts. I agree that people ALSO need to fight politically and in the streets.
September 18, 2025 at 4:37 PM
I'm curious what you recommend? It seems like describing the unlawfulness is a good thing. Like, if we want more jury nullification, then people should know the purported designation is unlawful BS? Do you think he's saying the government won't bring cases? Because that's not how I read his comments
