When I was 4ish and my sisters were 3ish I remember hearing one of them cry and thinking oh no, she must have spotted that weird pinecone in the garden, that nearly made me cry too. Turned out she'd been stung by a bee but I definitely remember that crying at a weird pinecone seemed understandable
