Husband is off for his road test (booked 6 months ago!) and I'm hoping the 3rd try is the charm. I'm home waiting for the electrician. And Elly is being oh so helpful while I spin again.

Plumber was a no show and electrician was pushed to tomorrow. Closer to at least being able to shower even if it's a few days from finished, but really not coping very well. (going multiple days without a shower isn't unusual for me but the chemical exposures and sleep deprivation are adding up)
All 3 walls covered with slate look panels, roughly cut around the window with cardboard boxes on the floor.

Tomorrow the rest of the panels and shower go in, and the electrician installs the fan and light and runs the wire for the light up mirrored medicine cabinet. Hopefully we can shower again on Thursday! Struggling from fragrance though, he missed that it was an ingredient in the wipes he was using.😢
Bathroom remodel day 2 - One panel of a dark grey slate wall is up around a window and the black resin shower tray is on the ground. The rest of the walls are bare plasterboard with a hole where the crappy weak fan used to be.

Ran into a snag yesterday on the drainage for the tray, apparently it's Italian and the company we bought everything from didn't include the adapter needed & not in standard hardware stores, so they had to wait for it to arrive this morning. Now the shower tray is in. No more bouncy fiberglass.

I made a bed remote cosy with freehand crochet, but now can't find my icord tool so that part will wait til tomorrow. Having it attached to the frame so I can't lose it will be helpful. I love it when I can make something small and useful with handspun and hand dyed wool. 😁

It's tea season. I love this single cup brewer, you get to appreciate how pretty your tea is before filling your favourite mug.
A blue glazed hand thrown pottery mug sits next to the Ingenuitea pot filled with red hibiscus and berry herbal tea brewing. Both are on my non-slip black and white polka-dot cafeteria style tray. You set the tea strainer on top of your cup when it's ready, and I find it easier to use and much less fragile than a glass teapot.

She's an international traveller now, a rescue that came with me when I moved overseas. Thankfully I do have help for the heavy lifting on litter and getting her to the vet now, and she adores my husband just as much.

It's new bed day and almost match day, so wearing my cute Sophie Nina (Wrexham artist and Creu shop owner) dungarees. 🙂 Hard to believe how comfy the bed is, just have to wait for it to air out for a few days to be able to use it.

I woke up early from pain and this sweetheart doesn't mind the extra cuddle time. She's doing a lot better and her blood work shows her thyroid back in range with the meds, so now just have to monitor kidney function for a few months.

Spinning orange flecked wool on an eew nano 2.1 e-spinner. It's black and small, with a purple bobbin and power cord off to the side. The wool is recycled orange wool and 30% blended sari silk threads so it's very speckled. The wheel is resting on my lap, with a green tartan fuzzy blanket on it.

Managed to get some spinning in and watch us make it to the 4th round of the EFL Cup. Very glad Broadhead scored, hopefully his confidence grows from here.

A hank of handspun wool tied and twisted together. It's a slow fade from purples to a teal green with merino, bamboo, firestar, rose fibre, and sparkly angelina fibres. In person it has a beautiful sheen and glitters in the light, and is very soft.

Got out my spinning wheel to work on the wool I prepared during the Millwall match. Mahmood scored shortly after, so I'll call it good luck. 😊 #AskWxm

I only stabbed myself once while working on this.... Need to find a more stable work space to clamp onto because I struggled to pull the wool off but this was fun.
