This book’s title was turned into numerous tumblr memes and shared widely by women on social media back in the 2010s. The “90 day rule” was also prevalent in dating advice to young women, from other women. Looking back, I can’t understand the chokehold this objectively bad advice had on everyone.

Am I the only democrat that remembers back in like 2010 how much we used to talk about male suicide prevention and dismantling the social stigma around men and boys having and expressing human emotions? Yeah, we got called “snowflakes” for saying men are human and deserve humanity.

Partially to blame is the general glorification of capitalism by American society. The myth that “the big business guys must be far more brilliant and clever than the rest of us because they manage highly successful businesses” is extremely pervasive.
