Damn anyone who advocates for more red tape cuts.
This is a deliberate, systematic failure by so many agencies who put profit before duty of care.
I grew up in social housing, seen the system deteriorate & watched as the discourse turn more vile against certain groups. #Grenfell

Interesting part of the former minister for “common sense” Esther McVey, in her not so common sense doubling down of her egregious use of the “first they came for.. poem against smoking.

What do you spend your Amazon book voucher on that you were awarded for participating in surveys for your cell/mobile phone provider?
Me: a physical copy of The January 6th Report.
(Already read online but I do like to own and read these reports in book format too.)

My husband has been so supportive with my return to education & I am so grateful every single day to share my life with him.

A couple of days entertaining our niece and great niece who have been visiting us up here in Scotland.
Spent a lovely few hours today in Balmaha, Loch Lomond.
Here's a photo I took of some mallards having a bite of lunch.

🧵1. Despite evidence to the contrary & governments repeatedly sounding alarm, social media are making it harder to combat dis/misinformation by taking away/restricting tools that have made a difference to identifying & calling out bad actors.

Why is Met Police responding to disinfo of an account that multiple researchers including @marcowenjones.bsky.social have identified as a hijacked account that previously ramped up fake news regarding Southport alleged attacker & riots that followed (see here: threadreaderapp.com/thread/18212...)?

Musk has now deleted this post he made quoting Britain First's co-leader after it was proven fake. The Telegraph have confirmed it wasn't theirs & instead a fake/manipulated headline, but the question they should ask is why someone felt comfortable using their identity to create this disinformation?

Shayan Sardarizadeh of BBC Verify on X showing how disinformation is being spread based on the false claim of "two-tiered policing", suggesting groups are preparing for far-right appearances. It's an attempt to create pitch battles that sympathetic media will use to deflect, distort & manipulate.
