Alternatively, make a mild Dahl (loads of recipes online), sprinkle the salmon with Indian curry spices, bathe it in yoghurt then sear the salmon and serve on top of the Dahl.

A brief marinate in soy sauce, sesame oil and chopped garlic. Dip in sesame seeds then cook on a v hot griddle. Stir fry onions, peppers, courgette, spinach leaves, etc. Add chilli if you like. A wee bit of watered down sriracha. Fantastic with rice, noodles or just on its own.

It all depends on how often something is used and how heavy it is. Most foodstuffs are in the lower unit drawers. Backup stuff (extra cartons of juice, beans, etc.) tends to be upper cupboards in the utility room. I do have two 600mm drawers full of spices near the cooker …
