I'm far from the most knowledgeable observer of these cases, but this seems to me like a) the most sweeping ruling against the Trump Admin in terms of scope and effect, and b) the most immediate and pressing test to see whether a court ruling will be respected.

This would also have a chilling effect on tax compliance. Many undocumented immigrants pay taxes using Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs). If their tax data were used against them, it could discourage compliance, reducing tax revenues and driving more people to work off the books.

I don’t know if this is true. But I also have no idea what it would take to make it not true.
America is over. There is no coming back from this.

If we're lucky maybe we claw back some small-l liberalism for our daily lives. But even that might be too much to hope for.

The rest of the world has to move on from us.

They now know that the American people can't be trusted.

They're pushing for a bill to give some power to the workers, so it's possible REI will improve in the future.

Also, recommend opensecrets.org over GoodsUniteUs as it seems to be more comprehensive.
Changes to REI's bylaws in the 2000s granted their existing board the authority to select board election candidates, and workers are prohibited from becoming board members. Now, many REI workers are backing a Washington bill to reserve two board seats for workers.
