They 100% know better than this. Anyone with a basic education knows the majority of the country is dependent on social security in their retirement. They just do not care and are lying to cover for their heinous actions.

It's definitely not the whole country. It's actually a very small percentage. The bigger problem is the percentage that is apathetic and don't care at all until something affects them personally. America is an excessively self-absorbed society.

I think people's aversion to this comparison is the implication that US authoritarianism that was targeted only at minority populations is somehow less of a problem than authoritarianism that also includes white people.

People who want mercy and sympathy must also give it. They need to demonstrate their commitment to providing a safe society for everyone before we welcome them as allies. Otherwise, they will just come back and inflict harm later. Doing the right thing requires bravery and does not always feel good.

So you all are going to have to accept that people who think this way are a threat to the safety of others. And saving them may make you feel better, but it makes others less safe. So until the threat is neutralized, you cannot expect others to treat them like they are safe.

Of course everyone deserves a certain level of care. That's what Dem voters require from our govt. But that is not a fundamental belief of conservative voters. They do not believe everyone deserves support and help. Only the groups they belong to. And everyone else deserves to suffer.

People upset the govt they chose is hurting them instead of others are a liability to everyone they share a society with. You will fail to protect those you actually care about when you put the desire to be ethically superior above holding people accountable. Accountability has to happen.

It's amazing how mad certain people are that the government is attacking their rights and freedoms, but were perfectly fine with it when it was Black people whose rights were being trampled. Baffling that they can't see their willingness to ignore it is what led them to this place.

It isn't about what they deserve. It's about whether or not they are safe people to be in community with. Or people whose bigotry seeks to tear down or take over whatever we salvage. Don't be fooled by their victim act. They are dangerous people, treat them like the threat they are.

Why are you all intent on learning nothing at all?! America did this after the Civil War. The same people passed down their ideology repackaged as Jim Crow, then Reganomics and the War on Drugs. These people will eventually succeed in killing and/or subjugating you if you keep giving them chances.

Attacking the Dems and helping destroy the only opposition party against a facist oligarchy seems like a bad strategy. Starting to wonder who these accounts are really supporting 🤔.

Frost made a great point. If they use force, they are tied up with jail or criminal charges, which prevent them from being available to keep fighting. So strategically thinking, someone else that can afford to be detained should be ahead of them. We can't afford to have them out of commission.

America did this after the Civil War. How's it working out for us today? People who don't learn from their mistakes are doomed to repeat them. Be smarter. A person not liking bad things happening to them but being ok with harm to others is not a safe person to have in your community.

This is a great idea....if you want to end up right back in this scenario. Had you have dealt with this ideology appropriately after the civil war, you would be living in an advanced civilization instead of a crumbling one.

Sharing corporate media takes like this is falling for propaganda. The corporate media are doing the dirty work of the oligarchy. They will continue to paint a picture of any opposition party as weak and ineffective. Be smarter. Stop falling for this and block these people.

I really think you all are going to need to learn that corporate owned media will continue to report negative stories about the opposition party and paint them in a bad light. This is facist tactics 101. Please stop falling for it and spreading these people's propaganda.
