I’ve always loved this special. I got the loneliness part, even as a kid, which is why it resonated for me so much. The creators, along with Charles Schultz himself, didn’t talk down to kids. That helps to make it timeless.

Meant to say “on Prime.”

Still trying to figure out how to do things on this platform, like edit a post. 🙄

Thanks for the recommendation, Jordan!

I started watching post-WW II Italian cinema before a trip to Tuscany in 2022, and became hooked.

Here’s a NYT endorsement of your endorsement. I will definitely check this one out.

Reading it now and am so impressed. Wish I’d read this in my teens or early 20s, but the message still packs a punch.

Yes I love everything about that film. The book is even better. Still pretty timely, which is kind of sad. Harper Lee knew what she was doing.

Yes! More and more city officials are investing in lighting that doesn’t pollute the sky view. There is so much beauty up there.

Thanks, Jordan, from a librarian, and a library lover. Get one for your kids, grandkids, encourage your friends and their friends. Attend a program. Go to story hour. Watch a classic film. Say hi to a stuffed dinosaur. Welcome the world into your life.

That’s awesome, Melody! Bravo to the people who made this happen. Best investment you could make, for kids, for everyone.
