Yes, strong foundational thinking skills are essential yet critical thinking doesn’t develop by accident - must be taught with intention. AI is already part of our world - scholars need guided practice working with it so they learn to question, verify, and think deeply with and about the tool.

Absolutely agree! The brain needs real thinking to grow just like muscles need resistance to get stronger. I wonder how AI can support those mental reps without doing the thinking for us. How do you see tech fitting into that kind of practice? #LearningScience #AIinEducation #CognitiveDevelopment

#Differentiation My Ss love it as they can increase the challenge of their work as they see fit. Autonomy over learning has increased engagement with the content and I’m all for it! 🎉 #MiddleSchoolMath

This is such a great way to say it! I see AI as a tool/collaborator to support learning/growth. I’m invested in preparing my students for the world they’ll be running. 🤓

The first thing that blew my mind was the number of tools available that can do things that I never even thought were possible! There is so much to digest that I need to process and come back with a summary of some sort…

That is the hope! Working directly with our students is the most important task we as educators engage in. I am excited to see what the future holds.

I like to think of ai as a collaborator and not as a replacement to the educator in the classroom. This will the interesting to follow. TY for sharing.
