tbf (and I was only 10 when the Australia card was a thing) it was a very, very different world then - it was genuinely difficult to get that level of identification from people, and incredibly easy to disappear off the face of the earth. The change to having your deets everywhere was overnight.

I'm Gen X so our moments are 1. David Bowie as The Goblin King and/or 2. Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom. But I'm also bi so switch out Bowie with Jennifer Connelly.
