It was one of the big selling points of the book, to make Crafting more interesting. It might not be as exciting if you think the current rules are too weak as it doesn't diverge much from the core balance, but it does provide a LOT of resources for Story-Based Crafting, which might be what you want

Tried and finally managed to beat Zachtronics Fortune's Foundation solitaire variant and god, that took the longest time to figure it out properly (roughly an hour). So satisfying, but also headache inducing.

It's like as if giving human-level access to automated workflows can only end up with human-level (root) exploits.
