Last year I finally quit nicotine too lol. Life changing for sure, and it continues to be but I wouldn't trade my worst day sober for my best day drunk.

Many, many times. Last time I checked a little over 1 in 6 alcoholics/addicts manage to stay sober 18 months. Not great odds. Without a recovery program its less than that.
