I visit the historic Central Station Wagon Hoist in Leeds; the last bit of the long closed Central Station, then the urban park on the Monk Bridge viaduct.

My journey to Leeds continues

We can't follow the original route of the Thames Clyde as the line closed in the 1980s because of mining subsidence. This means I miss Normanton where, in Victorian times, we'd have stopped for a 5 course lunch.

Before I set off, I walk up Midland Rd to look around. I pass the site of the Goods Depot and walk around St. Pancras Old Church.
