Earlier this summer I read the debut novel by Marie O'Hare. It's brilliant and I keep thinking about it. I found it to be funny, dark, colourful and compelling. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm recommending this now because the Kindle edition is only 99p at the moment.

A great day at #EducationFest with talks by Doug Lemov, Sarah Cottinghatt and John Tomsett the highlights for me.
It was a long day (6 hours driving in total) but it was like food for the mind and soul. Just what I needed after a heavy few days.
Thanks to the organisers speakers & folks on stalls

Here's my path through the day. I'm really looking forward to it!

London views from the Sea Containers hotel. A wonderful way to end the holidays, celebrating 10 years as Mrs O's partner in crime.
Pic 1 - breakfast views of St Paul's from the restaurant.
Pic 2 - nighttime views of London in the fog, from the 15th floor.

Here's a photo of our new (primary) school library.
The curved unit has shelves full of class sets of books on the back and the waist-height wall has shelves full of reference texts too.
Would love to see photos of others, if anyone is happy to share.

This summer, my two boys (under 6) have started many days with small world play.
It's been wonderful for my boys' language development and cooperation.
How great would it be if wraparound provision at school had toys like this?
(Almost all of these toys are second-hand from FB marketplace)
