I wonder if Douglas Adams would be amused or dismayed by the popularity of digital watches now.

Me: OH search engine, in the very narrow context of this field, find me mentions of x.

Search engine: Okay, I'll search the entire internet for mentions of x, OR mentions of the field OR mentions of narrowness OR context.

When a lawyer submits a filing that is full of false citations and errors, one wonders how much they cheated in law school.

I also wonder how many lawyers are happily using #AI to generate filings, and "getting away with it" because they're actually reviewing them and correcting mistakes.

Gotta love a story where the utterance "You literally used to be a grain combine" is the straight man line. #questonableContent

Watching a youtube vid with lots of section markers. Someone went to a lot of trouble to annotate the natural breaks in this video.

Naturally #youtube drops commercials right in the middle of the section, thus breaking the flow of what happens to be a scholarly history video.

New experiences come at all ages. For instance, here in my 60th I finally got to experience being stung by a number of yellow jackets. Three or four reached flesh, I brushed off a number of others.

Yay?

I don’t seem to be allergic, so I have that going for me.

Gosh, linked-in, you think I ought to read this post of a friend so much that you sent me a suggestion several days after I read it the first time?

Was that really a good use of that energy?

Why would anyone consider Sirius/XM to be comparable to Alphabet and Meta. “They deliver media” is very tenuous. Maybe I’m missing some part of the picture. #investing

Dear advertisers: Using the popular songs from my youth, with your product pitch instead of the original lyrics, is not the marketing vehicle you think it is.

Is it just me, or is the Network framework in Apple land simultaneously promising and unusable? Like, I see words that make sense to me, but then nothing is explained in depth, so there seems like no way to make use of these classes.

I wonder how much ad money is wasted by pharmaceutical companies who avoid saying what a drug is for because they don't want to talk about side effects and stuff. The one that's been in my feeds a lot seems to be sure that I'm going to ask my doctor about it by literally doing a song and dance.

#UIKit is from 2008, #SwiftUI is 2019, so UIKit had more time on the planet when SwiftUI came out than SwiftUI has right now. I find reading SwiftUI code a lot easier, and getting things done is often faster, but the current problem of poor error reporting in resultBuilders is frustrating.
