Two things in this aquarium are about 9 inches long, black, and wider at one end. One is a bristlenose plecostomus, and the other is a filter intake extension tube. The tube keeps getting knocked loose from the filter, I think because the pleco wants to "date".

On Martha's Vineyard, came across the shell of an Atlantic Horseshoe crab. The modern horseshoe crabs date from 250 million years ago. They are among the very oldest complex animal species existing today.
We have nothing like this where I live; coming across this foot long shell was a shock.

I've been reading about this exact scam for years but never been on the receiving end until today! I feel like a ladybug landed on me or I saw a double rainbow. This can only be a sign of good luck to come (as long as I don't reply.)
