You’re absolutely right — he wants conflict. He wants war footage to disrupt elections. And sadly, regardless of what people in Venezuela or the United States do, he’ll find a way to manufacture these crises for his own gain.

You’re right that conflict would cost many lives, but it’s unrealistic to assume Donald Trump and his supporters would willingly surrender power in Washington. Their actions have repeatedly shown a refusal to accept outcomes they oppose.

Appeasement is dangerous. Giving in will only push him to demand more, and it’s not just about Venezuela. He’s also targeted Canada and Greenland. If this continues, are they expected to yield as well? His expanding ambitions show that concessions won’t stop his pursuit of greater control.

It’s a short-sighted decision not to join this scheme. With tensions rising and the possibility of conflict returning to Europe, nations—including the UK—should be taking rearmament seriously. Failing to strengthen collective security now risks leaving everyone less prepared for the challenges.

Of course, such a law would inevitably fail to stop people from rightly protesting what the government is doing, but that doesn’t mean officials wouldn’t still be reckless enough to attempt something that misguided and foolish anyway.

Isn’t a senator trying to pass a law that could jail people merely for obstructing ICE agents’ operations? If true, that’s a waste of time. Criminalizing protest won’t stop people from standing up against injustice — it’ll only fuel more resistance.
