I'm not too familiar with the app yet. I found its existence while scrolling on TikTok where a creator was talking about its mission. You could probably find a way to contact them before committing to anything.

Mayhem Marketplace is a lesser-known option. I'm still learning about them, but they seem to have better morals.

My little town had a whole street coordinate Christmas decorations. One had a yard covered in train sets. They canceled everything because of a bomb threat the winter after 9/11. They never set it up again.

It took us about 6 months of looking, too. Paid for one inspection and found not only mold in the crawlspace and attic, but the house being supported by a hydraulic jack! Last year was ROUGH. But it did get better with time. I hope you find an affordable dream home soon.

This happened to us last year. Someone matched our bid, but with a cash offer. They planned to buy it and rent it out to someone else. Such a shame. But within a month, another house popped up with even better conditions! We've been here since June. Hang in there! We're all rooting for you.
