Loofa Gimbal was sold to a caring home recently. It was a design I struggled with for a while, but it really came together with the addition of the neck ruff and big eyes. Now it's one of my favorites.
A plush creature on a purple backdrop. It appears to be some sort of lizard, with a light blue body, white underbelly, six green legs, a spiked tail, the neck frill and horns of a triceratops, and a wild green beard or neck ruff. It is photographed from above, and its neck is curled as it looks at the camera inquisitively with a large, glassy eye set in the side of its elongated, narrow face that comes to a thin, upturned nose. The face shares the same material as the legs: green with metallic scales of various colors. This is a very cute animal, probably adolescent, and gives a friendly vibe. A picture of Loofa curled up, hugging itself into a sort of ampersand shape. Their long snoot pokes out over their three left feet, senses alert after they thought they heard the crinkle of a treat bag. In this position, Loofa's frill looks like an old-fashioned baby bonnet. A collage of the five plushies that went into Loofa Gimbal: Two dinosaurs with green fabric and rainbow scales – a triceratops who donated legs and neck frill, and whose horns became Loofa's tail; and a brontosaurus that donated legs, and whose tail became Loofa's face. Then there's a teal teddy bear with metallic green details, including Loofa's horns; a fuzzy green troll-like thing; and the Dragonaire that served as Loofa's body. Throwback to an old one named Doodle. They were made from a walking dragon, a seahorse, and the nose of a dolphin. The body underwent significant reshaping to create Doodle's distinctive silhouette.

And then there's a basket of scraps at the bottom to represent all the miscellaneous bits that were used. Shallot has a squat, light gray body with stubby limbs, all made with a ridged plush material, (so, yes, they are ribbed for your pleasure). There is a face embroidered on the front of the body with a little smile and green eyes with teal eyelids that make them look relaxed. Growing out the top is a green mass with two poseable flower stalks ending in fluffy teal flowers that have eyeballs at the center. The eyes, which have been meticulously crafted by hand, have unusual pupils – sort of a figure eight shape, like a goat's, but pinched in the middle – and the pupils are rimmed with a thin, green iris. An absolutely fabulous little guy stands before you. They are a vibrantly colored alien with a green body and head, fuzzy blue arms, pink and yellow... let's call them ears, with bright blue spots, and orange dinosaur legs with a tail. From their arms hangs a green cape with a peacock feather pattern on the underside! This magnificent creature is posing on a purple backdrop with one arm raised to show the cape pattern. The name of this glorious gay angel? Boy O'Plenties. A collage of the five plushies that gave parts to create Boy O'Plenties: A blue Dr. Seuss seal or walrus thing, who gave his arms; a green alien; a peacock; a pink butterfly, whose smaller wings became ears; and an orange parasaurolophus dinosaur. Boy O'Plenties stands facing the camera with his arms spread and his cape flipped up behind his head to become more of a collar. Is this behavior meant to intimidate predators? Maybe a little. But it also acts like an amphitheater to help direct their voice when they sing!

A frankensteined plushie with the front half of a beetle and the back half of a tree frog, inspired by episode eight of Twin Peaks: The Return. Unlike that episode, the whole thing is vividly colorful, and the insect legs have wire in them so they can be posed. I made Cornbread based on a Tumblr post about the "worst type of griffin."
