George Brett was one of the few others I can remember. I imagine the big triples numbers were hit back in the Polo Grounds days or in other oddball stadiums. They’re a lot of cookie cutter stadiums now.

Something about the audio hiss, high volume and canned sound always made me feel like these were made similar to an old 60’s soap opera. The Twilight Zone had some like that too. The episode with Art Carnie as Santa comes to mind.

Hard to believe that they can lose so much mass that they’d wind up as a neutron star and not a black hole. I saw a graph at some point but I still didn’t understand exactly why or where the threshold is between the two outcomes.
