Even if they allow full marks for calculator, it still disproportionately penalises those making an error with that method! As you say how do they gain method marks?

Exactly that! In recent years the reduction of marks for each normal question from ~6marks to 2marks suggested to me that the calculators were being encouraged as the modern way of working. I would have expected official guidance to be released if their stance on that was changing.

This is my plan too! I was originally hoping to read it over the summer... but then, distractions! 🙈 I'm hoping reading it in line with our SOW throughout the year will be more impactful anyway! 🤞

I'm at a SFC - we run a mentor scheme where strong Y12/13 students volunteer to mentor struggling peers 1-1. It's not a "delivered" session though. The mentors give up a free period each week, but the onus is on the mentee to bring something they're struggling with. Some students get a lot from it!
