I have a YouTube channel where I've covered stuff that's interested me: @MrStaleman

I am someone trying to find time to fit in all of my hobbies within a single year.
This was incredibly insightful. Thank you. I've been thinking about how to approach an asymmetric deck builder and this definitely makes me want to err on the side of simple. And probably include dice.

For those that are more board game oriented, I'd say it's a tactics oriented approach to my favorite Solo RPG, MIRU. You amass cards and equipment and fight off monsters day by day. Sometimes you get events and quests instead. Or you get pointed in the direction of a dungeon (of which there are 4).

The game uses Slay the Spire combat in a fantastical setting with anthropomorphic protagonists moving day by day in search of their heart, taken by the final boss of the game, the Heartstealer.

I'm gonna stop my campaign for now and just hunker down to finish the last dungeon and the final boss so I can release a Beta this week. I want more people to feel what I'm feeling and enjoy what I'm enjoying.

Feeling in the best of ways with this solo experience. And I have to thank Jorbs and his lecture on slow lanes in tactical play because the idea that it's not just the direct combat encounter but thinking about whether I value saving my only revive over something else really elevated it.

Do old templates work on this new version of Affinity? I've never used it before and was planning to operate a template with the old free trial but with this new version, would that template not work anymore?

It wasn't just the ending that did it for me. It was the way each character we're following is meant to have a resolution and they just don't. Kronos commits war crimes but it's okay because he's sorry. Arachne thinks it's BS that she's a spider because gods are spiteful and nothing happens. Awful.

The myth of the moderate lives on. The voters want a party that fucking BELIEVES in something. You're not gonna win voters talking about "table issues" if voters don't believe you stand for anything. What's to stop the party in a few years from dropping these points for something else? Ridiculous.

Against a strong demonic presence but man does it take a while to struggle. The energy economy is tight, so turns feel longer than they should unless you're making an efficient use of burning your cards in opportune moments of combat.

All in all, I'm really digging my time and am excited for more.

It so I could always shake a demon out of doing whatever it was gonna do if I hit it hard enough but the process of burning and casting and burning again was cumbersome at times. I personally find this to be an effective way of marrying the gameplay to the narrative conceit of a priest struggling

Everything that came my way. The narrative elements are the peak here and the fantasy of exorcising demons really fits with the design of the game but I definitely found myself slogging along during fights in the later half. Lesser demons have one health bar while greater demons have 3, and a lot of

It and I accidentally burned a card I wasnt supposed to that dealt damage to me and it, which led to it dealing damage to me again. Frustrating but expected from a sloppy misplay. That 3 hour run time came from me getting to the final stage and clearing out a number of stuff, sticking around to read

-lly feels like you need to be well equipped with some firepower and defensive cards to take on a greater demon (Elite). The first run lasted about 10 minutes as I died to my first Elite. Second run lasted 3 hours and I died to a silly mistake because a Greater Demon had the nerve to link my HP with

Combat wise, I've found the game to be sufficiently difficult as far as card games go. You burn your cards to light candles that let you play cards so drawing more cards is doubly powerful. I had two runs with the Holy Book of Flames and found it to be feast or famine in those early stages. It rea

Dawg sounds like he's straight from a final fantasy game.
