Started my holiday with a lunchtime margarita. Then spilt chilli on my jeans 😢

My garden is usually a bit of an messy hodge podge but this little corner of colour made me smile today.

My 5yo old loves to read and so the Summer Reading Challenge has added an extra layer of fun this summer holidays! #lovereading #loveyourlibrary #summerreadingchallenge

When you take them out for the day, and as you go through the shop, this is what they do ❤️ #lovereading

Cut me in half & I’m a KS2 teacher (mainly 6) though & through. But today when baking with my 5 year old, we really did learn through our ‘play’: subitising 12, finding arrays and ways to make 12, weighing ingredients, reading scales. Some of the Leadership team I work with would be proud 😂

Some of the brilliant books my little one received for her 5th birthday! It’s brilliant when your extended family understand the joy and importance of sharing lovely stories. #loveofreading #raisingreaders

Pretty chuffed with how this egg-free Easter pavlova turned out! Lovely day with family eating plenty and searching for eggs. 🐣 🐰

When your little one in Reception is learning all about Space and so you just HAVE to buy lots of lovely books to share with her and to add to the ever growing book collection. I’m loving ‘Meet the Planets’ #lovereading

Today was our World Book Day dressed as vocab. We had a vocab parade on the playground, shared books with our buddy classes & parents & enjoyed stories with our classes. We had such a fun day celebrating our love of reading 📖 (I went with a word that describes my usual state of being 😂) #lovereading

Took my daughter to the library yesterday and picked up this beautiful picture book. It’s about moving house and making it a home. The illustrations are 😍

I don’t get many things right as a parent but her love of the library I will take credit for. 📕 💜

Half term happiness sharing this lovely book with my 4 year old on a slow Saturday morning.

Am looking forward to sharing this lovely book with my 4 year old who asked me on Saturday night, at bedtime obviously, ‘How does water get to your brain?’ 🧠 It doesn’t answer that question specifically but has some great facts inside!

I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and signed up to be part of a book club with people I don’t know. This is our first read. I’m looking forward to diving in to something I wouldn’t necessarily have chosen to read.

Happy New Year everyone! With the little one asleep upstairs, it’s a living room party for two for us but I’ve made margaritas and we’ve good food on the go.

It’s the little things that bring joy. Making, and then using, these festive ice cubes do just that for me.

I’ve been wearing this badge with pride the past few days and will continue to for as long as possible. How many mince pies is too many? Asking for a friend…

This is a new one I got this year (one of many). I love the simple colour and little cut outs.

Got out some essentials for our first DHT network meeting this afternoon. So great to meet people in the local area doing the same job and facing similar challenges. Am looking forward to where this network takes us.

Not education related, I know, but I’ve loved having the time and space to switch off through reading this summer holidays. I’ve read a lot by seeing others sharing their reads so wanted to do the same…

Loved this. Was so heartwarming and had me crying and smiling in all the best ways.
