I use to work as a medical secretary at a private hospital and we use to get a meal when on shift (for free) - omg it was amazing and as good as what the patients had. If you couldn't get to the restaurant you could order sarnies to be sent to your office.

I was worried as when my Dad was in back in 2019 it was truly awful but it really wasn't too bad, certainly edible, lots of choice - I looked forward to meal times

Even the food was quite nice - apart from the jelly, I have never ever eaten such a synthetic tasting thing as what was pretending to be orange jelly!!

I never got a selfie at its worse - this was Tuesday after 24 hrs of IVs and I had started to be able to open the eye again. I'm nearly back to normal, I wore sunglasses to go out today as I hate people staring - it was awful sat in A&E looking so freakish

I never really felt ill with it - I had a painful lump come up on my neck on Friday night and by Sunday I had a swollen rash on my face but I never felt unwell - I had fatigue but that is my default state anyway

Eventually got a bed at 11.30 pm & they finally let me out yesterday pm. I looked like the elephant woman but thankfully looking more normal now - got another 7 days of antivirals to take. It got a bit scary on Monday - one minute I was in the GPs and the next they are shoving me in a taxi to A&E

Just had a very scary couple of days - ended up in hospital on Monday with facial cellulitis & huge fear I was going to lose my eye. I'm so massively grateful to NHS, everyone was amazing - they'd no beds so I had to sit on a chair in the middle of majors in A&E whilst they pumped me full of drugs

Always the best way!!

And I have just managed to get in too - lovely seeing so many friendly folks
