The anxiety generated from the pressures of formal testing seem to use up a huge amount of cognitive resources leaving little for some children to actually showcase what they can do/know. Definitely not a one fits all system. (2/2)

My daughter just sat her GCSE’s. As a neurodivergent child, she struggles with ‘performance’. Her french grade was markedly lower than her ability as she couldn’t get through the formal speaking test despite being in France for a week in the same month speaking near fluent French. (1/2)

I’ve decided I’m going to go for a walk on a lunchtime. Even if it’s around the block. I find my patience is wearing thin in the afternoon and I get hot and feel overwhelmed because I work solidly through my lunch and don’t decompress 👍🏻
