It is beginning to grow new leaves where it was chopped. Needs good light but not bright, direct sun.

It is a Jade plant. You can hard prune straggly bits, which you leave to callus over and can then repot. Should regrow from pruned parts. Could probably benefit from a repot into a gritty succulent type compost. Soil Ninja sell small bags. I recently hacked mine as it very much resembled this one.

Can take several weeks. Toothpicks failed for me too (Think I damaged the pit too much). Now trying this⬇️🤞
