A4: Not sure if this counts as a game, but I’ve always loved doing digital scavenger hunts and incorporating VR through stations; Also, I wonder if it we could survey learners throughout the year and ask them to share about tools/topics/games they're excited about and then incorporate. #LevelUpEDU
Q4 🌸 How can we use games to renew student engagement? Share a game that worked for you in reconnecting or re-energizing students—and tell us how!

A3: As a former ELAR teacher, I used to really enjoy playing Context Clue Uno and Inferencing Trashketball with learners; I'd love for it to be more student led and to give more voice/choice on an objective they're working to improve within; Open to suggestions/other games in general! #LevelUpEDU
Q3 🌱 Spring = fresh starts! What’s a past game-based project or activity you’d love to reboot or try differently this season? Share what you'd change or why! 🌸🎮

A2: Both playing games and growing academically require problem solving and flexibility; Helping students reflect on their learnings, both in real life and games, could help extend the learning. #LevelUpEDU
Q2🌿 How can teachers and students connect the growth they experience through playing games to their own personal or educational growth?

Share your ideas! 🎮✨

Just a note that tonight will be our last synchronous live ed chat on BlueSky for #LevelUpEDU. We've been posting same time same place since November and we're gonna shift to a daily slow chat question for our communities next week!

A1: I'm still learning about digital games, but “The Game of Life” and Jenga come to mind. "Game of Life" can explore choices and flexibility, while Jenga with reflection questions, can prompt thinking about challenges, change, and goals. #LevelUpEDU
Q1 🌱 Growth, change & personal development—games do this well.

How do digital or analog games help players explore this? How could you connect these moments of growth to learning?

Let’s share some game-based ideas! 🎮
Include A1 and the #LevelUpEDU hashtag in your response!

🍎 My goal is to use games and other strategies to create a safe learning environment that reinforces that the “teacher” is NOT the only one that can impart knowledge to others! Let’s be intentional about encouraging others to share their passions/areas of expertise. #LifeLongLearning #LevelUpEDU
Finally, to wrap up tonight’s chat. We want to hear your big dreams! How do you want to Level Up in 2025?

🤔This was a tough question. I’m curious about professional learning strategies for educators with Storyboard That, Lead4ward, and Miro! Definitely open to partnerships and resources outside of those to expand my learning! #LevelUpEDU
Time for Q3.
How many times have we heard.. “It takes a village” Education is no exception and the right partners and resources can make a big difference.

🎮 I’d love to explore and dive into more educational games. As a former #ELAR teacher, I definitely tried to gamify learning and vary strategies. To start my creative thinking, I’d often reference Lead4Ward’s instructional strategies. #LevelUpEDU
There are all sorts of ways to #game out there! Which ways are you looking forward to leveraging in education?
