Dx'd with RA in 2020 after it attacked my lungs causing them to fill w/ so much fluid my heart couldn't beat & me to have a heart attack. 3 years later nodules formed on my lungs, had a bx, caused pneumothorax, required a chest tube & 10 days in hospital.
Was doing good with no pain til yesterday. Right shoulder is pissed off. I just wanna be able to live my life with less pain. Not be afraid to do things for fear of inciting a Rheumatoid Arthritis flare. Hard to reconcile when you know there is no end. Will be active til I die (or it takes me).

When I tell people I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and that's why I have so much pain the response goes like this...

Them: Oh I have Arthritis too

Me: Really? Rheumatoid?

Them: No? But it's basically the same thing.

No...no it is not. I'd take regular Arthritis any day.

Unusual pain free day today. Probably from my increased prednisone due to a virus. Starting a new medication this weekend (Humira). Scares me as it will compromise my immune system and I work in the medical field. A risk I have to take to get the RA under control though. Hopefully no interactions.

Day 234,693
At least that's what it feels like when living w/ Rheumatoid Arthritis. Currently getting over a viral infection that has my lungs (which is affected by my RA...more later) pissed right off. So many things to say and so little characters to do it. I think I'll put my story in the bio.

No follows yet and I'm kinda ok with that. This is not an attention-seeking media site for me this is a place for me to say what I have to say without fear of repercussions or pissing someone off and it's a place for me to chronicle my fight with Rheumatoid Arthritis.
