We saw her during our honeymoon in a performance of The Importance of Being Earnest. No idea who she was, nor why she received a standing ovation for her entrance. I figured it out a few years (& many KuA eps) later. It was an amazing show, even as a clueless young 'un. Peace to her loved ones.

I think (as a parent w/ a kid in college and who therefore did the college search recently) that this is why our undergrad ed is so great across the board: there really aren't top tier/lower tiers in terms of the quality of teaching, because there are too many quality professors.

I think that, with 30+ years of turning out extremely well-educated PhDs and not significantly expanding the number of professorships, the quality of education at less well known schools has increased dramatically.
