pride views the world through the lens of judgment. shame beyond grieving hurt caused and confronting values misalignment is only self-centeredness as it asks the world to prove you wrong, that you really aren't that bad. the world is a foil. it becomes a never ending (and it never WILL end)

shame that persists is ultimately one of the most selfish things there is, because then the entire world is a foil and an opportunity to try to regain self esteem by trying to normalize shame. humility isn't self hatred, it's the ability to not be thinking of yourself at all, no measuring sticks.
