I work in software for a mining company (not coal) and the gutting of NIOSH/MSHA/OSHA is a huge deal. Our S&H leadership is scrambling to find universities and others to work w/on studies we were working w/NIOSH on prev. Luckily our annual med surveillance program will continue.

Yet DOGE gutted NIOSH and MSHA so sure shift focus to mining with now that the safety guardrails are removed. Absolutely wild

I had one sided conversations with my daughter from birth. I narrated, asked questions, voiced my thoughts. She is now 6 and people continuously marvel at her vocabulary and conversational skills.
