Got termination of probation employment email. I'm no longer a fed. Had to get some personal docs off laptop and decided to leave with a bang. Changed my outlook and teams away message to say,
"I am out of the office permanently."

2 service awards for contributions to mission above and beyond my duty.
Promotion of 2 GS levels at end of first year.
Multiple planned projects to better serve our customers and assist our field staff in efficiency.
But I'm still probationary, so none of that matters.

If you have friends who are federal go employees in their probationary period, we are terrified right now. OPM/DOGE are demanding a list of all employees in probationary periods. By Friday.
We have no idea why, but the fear is that it's going to be a government-wide reduction in force
