Next I’ll sand it back and I’m going to finish it with danish oil. I considered repainting but I really wanted to strip all the old paint off and now I can’t bear to paint it again. I don’t mind pine yellowing either, I think all the whitewashing is going to date.

Anyway so I got another coffee table and this old table has been in the garage because I couldn’t get rid of it without refinishing it. It’s been 4 years now and finally this weekend it’s happening. I’ve stripped the paint off all but the base. It takes two coats because there are soooo many layers

It was perfect with those little ikea chairs and we loved it though over the years it got quite loved. One of my kids carved ‘I love chips so much’ into it, must have been with scissors. Yes they did.

I’m assuming it works at least partly by promoting a reset of your microbiome.
