That’s my take, too. I’m skeptical, but if her scramble during this free fall opens others up to doing what’s right, I’m not mad.

And even if it is complete lip service, hearing the phrase “I’m sorry I participated in toxic politics.” is a welcome change from “womp, womp imbeciles.”

I’m from Michigan, living in the PNW now. In college, I had a gay resident director from Minnesota. We watched that movie weekly and probably quoted it daily. As soon as my daughter was old enough, she started watching it, too.
