#wotd Casio DW-5200 G-Shock. Dad bought new in 1985. This is the Mk II that put the G-Shock on the map. The lineup still features this case design, with EL and atomic functionality…this one features a still working filament backlight and impeccable timekeeping 40 years later

Easy way to check is I think the club issues did not have embossed covers. But if you run the dead wax matrix numbers in Discogs that’s a great way to find out. Here’s my OG and Club issue and the original sleeve. Hard to see in the photo but one on left is embossed the one on right is flat
